Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training
Reduce Atrophy | Joint Friendly | Increase Strength
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training is a safe and effective technique that allows patients to build strength and muscle using low-load resistance. By applying a specialized cuff to partially restrict blood flow to a limb during exercise, BFR creates a metabolic environment that promotes muscle growth and strength — without placing excessive stress on joints or healing tissues.
For post-surgical rehab, such as after ACL or meniscus repair, BFR helps reduce muscle loss, improve early strength, and accelerate recovery while protecting the joint. It’s especially useful during the early stages when heavy loading is not appropriate.
In degenerative arthritic knees, BFR enables strength improvements without increasing joint pain or inflammation.
BFR is clinically guided and tailored to each individual, offering a powerful tool in both injury rehabilitation and long-term joint health management.
